A tornado warning for west-central Mecklenburg County was canceled at 6:30 p.m. Friday, as the severe storm that prompted the warning moved from the area, according to the National Weather Service . A couple of tornadoes, along with quarter-size hail and gusts up to 70 mph are possible, according to the watch. Meteorologist Chris Mulcahy tracked the severe weather from inside the Chevy Storm Tracker. These percentages are historically very high for the Carolinas.
